It follows a note published on the day (04/09) in the website of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) noting that the director of INPE, Gilberto Câmara, participate in a seminar yesterday in Washington.

Gilberto Câmara, general director of the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais – INPE), is part of the president Dilma Roussef delegation that is going to visit the United States. On Monday (4/9), in Washington, he participates in a plenary about scientific cooperation and education under the seminar on “Brazil-US - Partners for the XXI Century”.

Other representatives participate in the same session, which should address the aerospace cooperation and supplementary issues: Virgilio Almeida, Secretary for Information Technology Policy of MCTI, Carlos Pacheco, president of the Institute of Aeronautical Technology (ITA), Michael Freilich, Director of Earth Science Division at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States and Farnam Jahanian, Head of the Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) Directorate at the National Science Foundation (NSF).
